Victoria Haase

Victoria Haase specializes in zoning entitlements as well as historic preservation cases. She has been with Thrower Design for more than 2 years.
Prior to joining Thrower Design, Victoria worked at the City of Austin for more than 10 years in various roles, including Zoning & Land Use, Historic Preservation, Neighborhood Planning and GIS mapping. She integrates her local government insight with the private realm of urban planning and development at Thrower Design.
She brings valuable institutional knowledge and well-established social connections with city staff, which can help ease the process of permitting projects in Austin and surrounding areas.
A native Texan, born in the German-Czech immigrant town of Shiner, Texas, Victoria made her way to Austin by the age of two. While the rural home of her ancestors is near and dear, the urban environment provided a playground of a different type.
Over the decades, she has witnessed significant change in Austin’s landscape. The urban bustle, and form and function beckoned and she pursued a degree in Geography with emphasis on Urban Issues from the University of Texas at Austin.
Victoria enjoys nature and the outdoors and is not deterred by the Texas summer heat. At any given time of the year, she can be found running on the Lady Bird (Town Lake) Trail, taking a dip in Barton Springs or hiking a greenbelt with her family.
